The Cursillo (pronounced kur-SEE-yo) was developed in Spain as an instrument of spiritual renewal. That is why there are so many terms associated with the movement that are Spanish. Cursillo de Cristianidad means "short course in Christianity." The Cursillo weekend is a highly structured, well thought-out method of providing the participants an opportunity to reflect on their own faith while giving them some insights as to where they ought to be. The joint effort of lay and clergy seeks to develop and renew church leaders.
A Cursillo is an encounter with Christ in which the participant becomes a part of a beautiful community abounding in God's grace.

Projects we are focusing on

New schools
Teacher qualifications
Stand for Children commits itself to helping students receive a quality education regardless of socioeconomic status, race, or geographic location. The organization engages parents to actively support their children’s education.
At schools, teachers are change makers. So, what happens to student learning when only one in six teachers in a district has proper training? Adequate funding can help teachers develop the skills needed to make a difference.
Is Cursillo For Me?
Simply put, anyone who is serious about becoming a Christian leader would benefit from a Cursillo weekend. Both clergy and laity find themselves more effective in their discipleship.
There are separate Cursillos for men and women. A person can only make one Cursillo during their lifetime When married persons participate, husbands must attend first. Single men and women are also encouraged to attend.
